After graduating high school, she became an STNA, then decided to further her education to become a Nursing Home Administrator. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Beth Prontiker
Assisted Living Clinical Coordinator, RN
Beth Prontiker, RN, is the Clinical Coordinator of Assisted Living at Canterbury, where she manages our nursing staff. She began working at age 16 in a nursing home as a housekeeper, dietary aide, and then receptionist. Beth went on to earn her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1991 from the Community College of Allegheny County in Pennsylvania. She started her nursing career in hospitals, with experience in a variety of ICU settings, including trauma, cardiothoracic, and transplant. After 12 years, she started a family and decided to put her career on hold to be a stay-at-home mom to raise her three children. When she returned to the work force 12 years ago, she wanted something a bit less stressful but still very rewarding. Her friend encouraged her to interview at the Assisted Living facility where she worked, and she has been working in Assisted Living ever since. She thoroughly enjoys working with the elderly population and making a difference in their lives, as much and as often as possible. Outside of work, as a single mom of three children in college, Beth loves spending time with her kids during the holidays and when they are home on breaks. She also enjoys walking, biking, and hiking the many trails in Cuyahoga National Park. She loves to garden, attend fall festivals, hang out with her dog, watch any type of documentary, and listen to country music.
