This type of long-term care is often needed by those who require continued medical attention and rehabilitation to regain functional abilities. Here at four of our five locations in Northeast Ohio—Canterbury, Carroll, Caprice, and Calcutta—we have a variety of Long-Term Post-Acute Care services and programs that will vary depending on the individual’s needs and recovery goals. From on-site pulmonology and dialysis services to complex wound care and more, we aim to help each person achieve the highest possible level of function and ability.
When It’s Time for Long-Term Post-Acute Care Services

If these signs are present and begin to interfere with daily life, Inspira Health Group can help provide necessary support and medical care.
Our Long-Term Post-Acute Care Facilities
Long-Term Post-Acute Care services are available at four of our community-based facilities—all under one network of care.
Long-Term Post-Acute Care Services at Inspira Health Group
Our team’s biggest differentiator is its unique expertise in caring for clinically complex, high-acuity patients, including those most senior care facilities do not serve. Each Inspira community offers a superior level of assistance from a dedicated staff that treats each patient like a member of their own family. When you visit us at Inspira, you’ll see this isn’t a nursing home. We’ve transformed the isolation of former senior care facilities into a vibrant community that fosters support, community, and enrichment to help improve healing outcomes. No matter a resident’s ability, we have programs and services to help them live a fulfilling life.
Vent Unit with 24-hour Pulmonary Care Services
Our vent care unit includes a dedicated nurse practitioner, pulmonologist, respiratory therapists, and respiratory nurses all trained in pulmonary care and available to provide on-site visits to assess patients prior to admission and acceptance. This level of care also includes ventilator-dependent and ventilator-weaning services, and Noninvasive Ventilation such as AVAPS and CPAP, including AIRVO for high-flow oxygen patients, mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy care services. Available in certain Inspira communities.
In-house Hemodialysis
Residents can receive in-house hemodialysis from the comforts of our new state-of-the-art Dialysis Den. Patients benefit from treatment in a familiar environment, reduced travel time, and reduced stress associated with visiting external facilities. Plus, this access to care ensures timely and consistent therapies, which can improve outcomes and care. Daily home hemodialysis in-house patients had a median overall survival of 50 months vs. 30 months for conventional hemodialysis. Available in certain Inspira communities.
Wound Care
Our wound care services are unparalleled in the region, delivering exceptional results through a comprehensive approach. We offer a diverse range of advanced dressings and utilize state-of-the-art techniques, including ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, wound VAC treatments, and biologics, ensuring that every wound receives the most effective and tailored care available. Our dedicated wound care nurses are highly qualified, each holding certifications from recognized wound and ostomy education programs and undergoing periodic recredentialing to stay at the forefront of best practices. Additionally, our team includes an advanced practice nurse practitioner and a vascular surgeon, providing expert care and specialized support for more complex cases.
A Full Staff of On-site Therapists & Nurses
Medical staff is available seven days a week, along with medical directors who are in the building five days a week. The same dedicated doctors and nurses are there to provide support day after day, building personal relationships with each resident. When not in the building, these professionals are on-call at all times.
More than Your Average Activities
Our vibrant activities department has transformed how our Long-Term Care communities are run. Gone are the days of isolation. It’s now about socialization! Residents and their families are encouraged to participate in our numerous activities that spark joy. Our programs are constantly adjusted and added to meet the ongoing needs and preferences of our residents, no matter their ability.
Constant Health & Well-being Monitoring
This ensures residents and their families feel safe during any activity. Our staff is here to support residents at all times, from enjoying their meals to participating in our activities.
