Our five locations in Northeast Ohio—Canterbury, Elmwood, Carroll, Caprice, and Calcutta—each offer tailored, specialized care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other memory-related conditions. Our staff is trained to understand the unique challenges these individuals face and how to best support them. We meet each resident where they’re at in this stage of life so they’re not just able to live but to live with dignity.
When It’s Time for Memory Care Services
You or your loved one may need to consider Memory Care services if you’re noticing signs of memory loss, confusion, or a cognitive decline that impacts daily life.
These signs can include:
- Difficulty performing familiar tasks
- Repeatedly asking the same questions
- Forgetting recent events or individuals
- Changes in personality or behavior
- Poor judgment or decision-making
- Difficulty finding the right words
- Experiencing falls
If these symptoms are present and begin to interfere with safety and independence, Inspira Health Group can help provide necessary support and care.
Our Memory Care Facilities
Memory Care services are available at five of our community-based facilities—all under one network of care.
Memory Care Programs & Services at Inspira Health Group
At Inspira, we have highly trained professionals who ensure every Memory Care resident receives the proper support and care based on their individual needs. In addition to ground-breaking programs and services, our residents enjoy enriching daily activities that aren’t available to those receiving in-home care.
Dementia Live Training
All staff has completed Dementia Live training, a high-impact dementia simulation experience that has been shown to improve outcomes for residents and their families. This program immerses participants in life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of living with cognitive impairment and sensory change. Available in certain Inspira communities.
ADELE Court
Our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Enhanced Living Environment (ADELE Court) offers a peaceful, home-like atmosphere where our holistic approach to memory care is tailored to each individual resident. We have various levels of support and programming available based on the stages of dementia. This includes:
- Music & Memory Program. This program helps people living with a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges find renewed joy in life through musical favorites.
- Opening Minds through Art (OMA). This award-winning, evidence-based, intergenerational art-making program is for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, where residents participate in a failure-free program that provides opportunities for creative self-expression and social engagement.
- Compassionate Touch. In addition, our staff is trained to utilize Compassionate Touch, an approach combining skilled touch and specialized communication shown to prevent stress reactions for people living with dementia while enhancing the quality of life and positive human connection.
More than Your Average Activities
Our vibrant activities department has transformed how our Memory Care communities are run. Gone are the days of isolation. It’s now about socialization! Residents of the entire Inspira community come together to participate in our numerous activities that spark joy. Our programs are constantly adjusted and added to meet the ongoing needs and preferences of our residents, no matter their ability. We offer cognitive activities, dementia activities, advanced dementia activities, and room-visit activities. Plus, families are always welcome to attend!
Wander Guard
Our Memory Care residents all have the option to wear our Wander Guard bracelets to ensure they remain on campus at Inspira Health Group. In the event that a resident exits our secure community, an alarm will sound so our staff can immediately and safely assist the individual.
New! Zinnia TV: Therapeutic TV for Dementia
Created specifically for people with dementia, Zinnia TV offers a vast array of videos to choose from that resonate with each resident. Programming is carefully selected based on every resident’s Preference-Based Living (PAL) card. PAL cards consist of 45–50 questions answered by family members, and help our Inspira staff tailor specific programming to evoke the individual’s senses based on their past experiences and interests. Zinnia is also available on each resident’s personal in-room smart TVs, so stimulation can occur any time.
Multi-Sensory Rooms
Available in certain Inspira communities, these rooms cater to those with later-stage dementia. The space mimics the concept of group activities available to those with earlier stages of dementia, except with a lower level of stimulation. Residents and staff work together so that each participant experiences the effects at an appropriate level.

Why Inspira Health Group?
At Inspira, we have countless staff members ready to step up and go above and beyond for all our residents.
This kind of dedication and compassion starts at the top of our organization, with one of Ohio’s top senior care advocates, Joseph Cilone. A former nurse who began his career at Inspira, Joe is the president-elect of the board of directors of the Ohio Health Care Association. And he’s here, inside the halls of Inspira, laughing with residents and their families, making sure everything—and everyone—is cared for.
