While services vary by location, ventilator care is offered at four of our five locations in Northeast Ohio—Canterbury, Carroll, Caprice, and Calcutta.

Our Ventilator Care Facilities
Ventilator Care services are available at four of our community-based facilities—all under one network of care.
Ventilator Care Services at Inspira Health Group
Our Vent Units deliver 24-hour pulmonary care supported by a comprehensive team and the latest in respiratory technology. We house both invasive and noninvasive ventilators and work closely with pulmonologists to ensure our residents have access to the most advanced equipment available. With a respiratory therapist on-site daily, and all RNs and LPNs trained in respiratory care, including suctioning and tracheostomy care, there is always someone in-house proficient in managing complex respiratory needs.
Advanced Respiratory Care Backed by Leading-edge Technology
Our Vent Care Unit includes a dedicated nurse practitioner, pulmonologist, respiratory therapists, and respiratory nurses, all trained in pulmonary care and available to provide on-site visits to assess patients prior to admission and acceptance. This level of care also includes ventilator-dependent and ventilator-weaning services, and noninvasive ventilation such as AVAPS and CPAP, including AIRVO for high-flow oxygen patients, mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy care services. Available in certain Inspira communities.
On the Forefront of Vent Weaning
Inspira has earned a reputation for exceptional success in ventilator weaning, driven by a focused approach tailored to candidates who can benefit from it. While weaning isn’t the right path for every resident, our specialized team consistently helps many residents make meaningful progress by combining frequent suctioning, targeted breathing treatments, and careful tracheostomy size reduction when appropriate. In our acute setting, we’re able to dedicate the time, attention, and expertise required to support each individual’s respiratory strength and independence on their own schedule.

We own and operate IHG Ambulette Services, which specializes in providing non-emergency medical transportation, ensuring our residents have convenient access to doctors’ appointments, dialysis, and more. Our services offer peace of mind, knowing that all medical appointments are attended with ease and reliability.
